Just stop looking at your phone

Stop,
You need to stop looking at your phone,
You need to stop texting whoever that's on the other side of the line,
There is a real one right opposite you,
Whom you should look into her eyes
when she talks.

I always appreciate and value the nice people around me who pay attention, who listen with heart, who make an effort to understand and be connected,
when we talk.

Though, the ironic fact is that there is only a handful of them. Nevertheless, I will give the highest credit to my cousin, Taco. It always warms me like the fireplace does on a chilly night that we can give ourselves a break from the social media, turning off the wifi and mobile data, and just talk. The literal one, not a talk through the keyboards. She listens and gives advice which might not help and might not be the best, but I value and I reciprocate.

Dating back to the short family beach getaway we had last March, it was night and after roaming around the resort for time more than an hour, we found a bench to sit on. On our right, there were the pool and the outdoor dining area while on our left, there was a small hut for pingpong and pool playing. We put our legs up the bench and just sat with them crossed. We talked, about school, chitchatted, about the lamest things, and discussed, the perspectives, laughing and sighing.

Feeling intimate is probably one of the best feelings that everyone deserves.

Some, they say they enjoy being alone but truly, what they mean is being in the social chaos, alone behind the screen. That's alone and the ambiance is quiet, but nope, they are situating themselves in the noisiest world.

Never take friends for granted.
Never just ask friends to listen while not doing the same in return.
If what you ever are finding is someone who listens, you should go for the counselors and the psychiatrists. Friendship and any relationship are a give-and-take, they should be mutual.
Out of respect, out of appreciation.

Phones are sometimes the most devilish monsters
that scrape away
the most precious treasures
that we get them for free
but have no fortune to win
them back once we lose them.

I don't give high hopes in looking for a soulmate, isn't that an unattainable goal?
We should count our blessings
when we find someone who never ignores.
